About The Evening

The C. S. Lewis Institute and Leaf Institute of Art & Vocation are proud to cohost a special event for fans of C. S. Lewis and aspiring Christian artists, entitled “My Life with C. S. Lewis: The Story of Douglas Gresham.”

Douglas Gresham was born the son of two American writers, but after his parents' divorce, his mother was led to faith in Christ through a growing correspondence and friendship with C. S. Lewis. That friendship became marriage, and after his mother's death, Douglas and his older brother David were raised solely by Lewis. Gresham's story covers his upbringing in Lewis' home and the influence of Lewis on his own unique journey of faith.

Gresham is the co-producer of The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe film and the author of the critically-acclaimed book, The Lenten Lands: My Childhood with Joy Davidman and C. S. Lewis (2003). He will be speaking to us not only about his life but also about the development of a Christian approach to the arts.  Details below.
