Upfitting Leaf Institute Offices & Artist Studios

Our new offices & studios need refinished floors and improved lighting. Help us provide space for redemptive art-making, learning, and impactful new ventures in Greenville.

 

 

Leaf Institute moved into its new building this past summer, the former Dunean United Methodist Church. We have updated the main auditorium to be a modular event and concert space that can seat approximately 150 people. In addition, we also have 3 floors of office space—1,000 square feet on each floor. Our plan is to make this space available to artists-in-residence and entrepreneurs-in-residence by way of grant funding and reasonable rental fees. Please consider making a generous tax-deductible donation to help us cover the cost of refinishing the floors, installing new lighting and hardware, and purchasing practical furnishings for the offices. Your gift unlocks the amazing potential of our new building, enabling us to serve Greenville in new ways over the coming years. $17,000 will cover the following needs:

  • PHASE 1: $7,000 — Sanding, polyurethane, and molding for 7 studio spaces and 2 hallways at Leaf Institute

  • PHASE 2: $5,000 — Lighting, doors and other hardware

  • PHASE 3: $5,000 — Furnishing for our studio offices: practical low-cost desks, chairs, and lamps for our entrepreneur-in-residence program.

 

This past summer we moved into the former Dunean United Methodist Church, a 100-year-old building in a historic mill village just outside downtown Greenville. In order to make use of the two floors, we need to sand and polyurethane 2,400 square feet, as well as install new hardware and lighting throughout these offices.
