Color Theory Workshop

Class Description

Whether you are new to color and painting or are a professional designer or artist looking to bring a more complex and nuanced understanding of color to your designs, this workshop will enable you to see color in new ways. Through demonstration and discussion you will learn how to mix a robust series of harmonious colors with oil paint and understand how they relate to each other and to the color wheel. All materials are provided, and you’ll be able to take your beautifully organized palette home with you to paint with or just admire.

This workshop is for artists, designers and art appreciators from high school to adult.

Michelle Radford is an artist in Greenville, SC and has taught painting for 10 years in higher education.

About The Instructor


Michelle Berg Radford is an artist and educator living in Greenville, SC. She holds an M.F.A. in Painting from the Savannah College of Art and Design. She began her studio practice as a landscape painter, but has recently been exploring the meaning behind motherhood and domestic spaces through her mixed media assemblages and collages. Michelle teaches college painting, fiber arts, and theory courses. Michelle lives with her husband, Paul, and three young children and is passionate about weaving together art and daily life.
