About The Session
Among theologians, the beautiful has often been a neglected third wheel to the true and the good. But Christ followers are called not just to know God (the true) and do the will of God (the good), but especially to delight in God (the beautiful). In fact, the prophet Isaiah even tells us that it is the beauty of God that redeems the world. Jonas will explore this theme in Isaiah and together we will discuss its implications for believers in the arts, the church, the marketplace, and missions.
Jonas Davison is a producer with Community Arts Tokyo, a non-profit organization that works to enable the local church in community and discipleship in the city center of Tokyo, Japan. His background is as a classical flutist and audio engineer. From 2009-2016 he worked for the U.S. Army Bands, including a 3.5-year tour of duty with the Army in Tokyo. God used that time to call Jonas, his wife Christina, and their children Maggie (6), Keith (4), and Judah (2) into full-time ministry among the Japanese, the world’s second-largest unreached people group.
